Estratégias de enfrentamento da síndrome de Burnout na enfermagem

RESUMO

O presente estudo tem, como objetivo, a realização de um levantamento na literatura sobre as estratégias de enfrentamento/intervenções adotadas por instituições, gestores ou líderes, com os trabalhadores de enfermagem, na presença da Síndrome de Burnout. Foi realizada uma pesquisa bibliográfica exploratória, nas bases de dados indexados SCIELO, LILACS, Google Acadêmico, bem como em livros, dissertações e teses. Foram selecionados 14 artigos recentes para análises, publicados nos anos de 2012, 2013, 2014 e março/2015. O estudo também está ancorado em dois livros, uma dissertação e dois artigos sem restrição temporal, todos com abordagem para síndrome de Burnout ou enfermagem. As pesquisas recentes sobre as formas de enfrentamento ou intervenções do estresse crônico ocupacional/Síndrome de Burnout na enfermagem trazem algumas formas de enfrentamento, ou seja, maneiras de lidar com a prevenção, amenização ou tratamento da doença. A partir das pesquisas, pode-se evidenciar a necessidade de mais estudos que abordem as características dos trabalhadores na enfermagem, pois a contemporaneidade traz inovações nos locais de trabalho e com elas novas patologias a serem desvendadas.

ABSTRACT

The current study aims to offer a literature review on the strategies for addressing burnout syndrome and the interventions that have been adopted by institutions, managers and other leaders in specific cases of burnout syndrome in the nursing industry. An exploratory literature review was performed. The sources used were the Brazilian Scientific Electronic Library Online (SCIELO), the Latin American Virtual Health Library (LILCAS) and Google Scholar as well as other books, thesis and dissertations. Fourteen recent articles were selected for analysis. They were published in 2012, 2013, 2014 and March 2015. The study also focuses on two books, one dissertation and two articles without any time constraints, all of which dealt with the burnout syndrome or the nursing industry. Recent studies on the methods to address the challenge and the interventions to combat chronic occupational stress and burnout syndrome in the nursing industry include a few different options regarding the prevention, alleviation or treatment of such illness. Based on such studies, there is an evident need for further research that considers the characteristics of nursing in modern times. Modernity brings changes in the work place, which, in turn, will result in the development of new pathologies.
