Escola: espaço de informação ou de formação?

A escola cumpre o seu papel nos dias de hoje? É essa a pergunta de todo educador comprometido com um projeto de ensino/aprendizagem condizente com o novo conceito de escola surgido em décadas recentes.  Seguindo a metodologia de pesquisa bibliográfica e cinegráfica, este artigo reúne síntese de uma amostra significativa de textos e filmes como fios condutores para as análises realizadas. Os dois tipos de pesquisas realizadas mostram que, paralelamente à informação, a escola hoje deve ter o objetivo de fazer do aluno um cidadão consciente de seus deveres e direitos. Por isso, conteúdos descontextualizados, como “o vovô viu a uva” do Ensino Fundamental de décadas atrás, não têm mais sentido no nosso mundo globalizado, no qual a interatividade dos saberes é imprescindível e a tecnologia faz parte do cenário em todas as áreas de atuação. Nesse contexto, o propósito da prática pedagógica realizada pelo professor  direciona-se  para captar o interesse do aluno, transformando-o, dessa forma, num parceiro cooperativo no processo de ensino/aprendizagem.

ABSTRACT

Does the  school   fulfill its role today? That is the   question of   every educator committed to a project of teaching/learning consistent with the new school concept emerged in recent decades. Following the methodology of bibliographic and cinematographic researches, this article gathers a relevant sample that becomes the conducting thread to critical analysis. The two kinds of researches performed for the completion of this article show that, in addition of information, the school today must become the student a citizen aware of their rights and duties.  For that, descontextualized contents, such as "grandpa got the grape", very much utilized in  the elementary school decades ago, don´t have sense in our globalized world, in which  the interactivity of knowledge is essential and  technology is part of the scenario in all areas of activity. In this context, the purpose of the teachers must be directed to capture the student's interest and make him/her  a cooperative partner in the teaching/learning process.
